The space

More than somewhere to record.

A recording session should give you the space to concentrate on your performance, hear the details and work without unnecessary distractions.

We help source facilities suited to the project: a dedicated vocal booth, a production workstation, or a room where your engineer can work alongside you.

Vocal recording

Acoustically treated environments can help control room reflections and give your engineer a cleaner vocal to work with.

Production & playback

Studio monitoring and recording equipment help you and your engineer review takes and make decisions in the room.

Creative sessions

Find a room suited to writing, recording, producing or developing material with collaborators.

Behind the record

Every detail deserves to be heard.

What you hear in the room shapes what you record. We check the equipment against your session requirements before you choose a room.

Equipment and room specifications vary by provider. These named products are examples of suitable equipment, not a promise that a particular studio has them. We confirm the actual room inventory before you book.
01 / CAPTUREMicrophones

Capture the performance, not just the words.

A condenser microphone can capture vocal detail and dynamics for lead vocals, hooks, harmonies and layers. The microphone and room must suit the performer and style.

Examples to ask about: Audio-Technica AT2020 · sE Electronics sE2300

02 / RECORDAudio interfaces

From the microphone to the recording.

An audio interface connects microphones and instruments to the recording system. Input count, preamps, headphone outputs and software setup are matched to the session.

Example: Focusrite Clarett+ 2Pre, a USB-C interface with mic, line and instrument inputs, headphone monitoring and MIDI I/O.

03 / LISTENStudio monitors

Hear what you’re actually making.

Studio monitors support critical listening. Engineers use them to review vocal levels, instrumental balance and production choices in the room.

Example: Yamaha HS8, a powered two-way studio monitor. Room placement and acoustics affect what you hear.

04 / PERFORMBooths & treatment

A space built for the voice.

Acoustic treatment and a dedicated booth can reduce unwanted reflections and separate the performance from the workstation. We check the room layout and recording position.

05 / MONITORHeadphones

Stay with the beat between takes.

Headphone monitoring lets you hear the instrumental and guide vocals while recording. The right setup helps keep playback out of the microphone.

Ask what the room provides for artist and engineer monitoring.

06 / BUILDMIDI & production

Build beyond the vocal.

Selected studios can provide MIDI keyboards and production equipment for developing melodies, basslines and arrangements with compatible software.

Example: Novation Impulse 61 MIDI controller. Compatibility and availability are confirmed for the room.
